Casita is a beautiful, smart and friendly 2yo grey Bordo Atravesado NM Mustang filly. Last measured at 13.2hh and still growing, she string tests to 14.1hh mature height.
If you’re looking for your first Mustang or a smaller horse that’s confident, consistent and meets you at the gate eager for attention and adventures, that’s Casita. She’s well on her way to becoming a wonderful all around partner.
She’s honest, expressive, curious and a quick learner, good around dogs and friendly with strangers.
Casita is gentled and has done age appropriate groundwork. She’s easy to catch and halter, ties, leads and loads well, stands for grooming, baths and fly spray. She picks up a four feet and has been trimmed. She was a good girl for our farrier CK Hoof Care CBT, APF-I
Casita leads and sends over obstacles and through gates, backs, moves hips and shoulders, lunges and enjoys going for walks. Casita has worn a bridle and English saddle. She enjoys being handled without reverting back to wild when given a break.
Because of how much she likes being around people and doing something interesting or even just spending time together, we’d like to find her an adventure human who is willing to spend a lot of time with her. She’s looking for a partner, not a “comes to see me once a week” person.
Like with any confident horse, boundary setting will be important. With that in place, she’s going to be a brave and dependable partner.
Casita is suitable for an intermediate youth handler with competent adult support or a smaller adult looking for a personable horse happy to do something together. She’s calm without being lazy and sensitive without being reactive and she retains lessons well.
