Sherilyn & Aerin

“I am so in love with her.

We are doing well.  She is in with the other mares. We have been going on walks and lots of grooming time.

The first time I took her into the indoor arena I walked her around both ways and then took her halter off.  There was a practice roping bull ( not real) at the far end of the arena.  She was very taken with it.  Lots of checking it out and then standing by it!  Too cute.

She is super curious with just about everything.  She really does not like sudden gusts of wind.

I am happy that when she sees me she comes up to the gate to greet me:-)💕

Rachel & Sienna

“Hi Stefanie! I just wanted to send you a happy update on Sienna. She has been awesome! She is getting more and more confident each day with humans, and she has been so confident in her environment since day 1. It is fun to see her sassy, SMART personality come out. She has officially graduated to turnout with my other horses, had her feet trimmed (total non-issue), and has been having lots of hand walking adventures around the property. I adore her. She nickers each time I walk out the door demanding grass! She is going to be a really cool little horse.”

Jen, Rosie & Rohan

“Here are some pics of the kids. They are doing great. Farrier was here today – she got trimmed and did great. Rohan didn’t need done but Bradley took a look at each hoof to be sure and Rohan readily gave them and was relaxed with him.”

Devon & Topaz

“Topaz is becoming a favorite in the barn already. Everyone keeps saying how sweet he is! ❤️

He did have a bigger moment with the wheelbarrow, but plucked up the courage to walk next to it to get attention after the spook. He’s also trying to be friends with the dogs – he’s just caught in the middle between them being too respectful of horses and backing away when he comes near or too nonchalant and spooking him when they come right up 😂😅

He’s such a sweetheart and he tries so hard, even when things are scary (case in point, the wheelbarrow 😂). But even only a two days in and he’s already getting over some of the spookiness from the change and getting more curious about the new surrounds. He actively comes up to all of us without our asking but stands politely away from us until he’s acknowledged. With time and patience, I think he’s gonna be a great partner.”

Autumn & Eleanor

“Eleanor update – once again, she is perfect! She’s been trailering like a gem all over the place. Today we trailered 3 hours to Lake Michigan to ride the sand dunes & beach. She didn’t bat an eye! I cannot thank you enough for pairing her with me. I am smitten!!!”

Kris & Feather

“I just had to give you a little update on Feather – she is doing so well! We have mastered turn in/out at Liberty with her staying next to me, as well as coming in and positioning herself in the grooming area (even when I’m leading a second horse). We went fox hunting yesterday and she ended up briefly leading second flight when the lead horse was unsettled by the scent of wild pig. She has really come in to her own this year, her legs keep looking great and I’m very hopeful for her return to eventing. But more importantly I’m so proud of the very solid riding horse she has matured into.”

“You gave her such a great start and we’ve just built on that. I’m just delighted with her and so happy we found each other. What I didn’t mention is we are in between saddles because she grew so much this year she is 3 tree sizes wider, so we did the whole fox hunting thing bareback:) She is just the steadiest little mustang ambassador. Everyone loves her.”

“I just wanted to send you a Feather update – she is literally one in a million. She is just a rockstar these days, her answer to all questions has been yes and she is just a bold, brave and willing little ponystang. She will be running a horse trial at Tryon International Equestrian Center in July and then we are going to see if we can’t fox hunt this fall. I’m so thankful for the start you gave her. Just last week we volunteered at our regional Pony Club camp where she was the only adult Mount reliable enough to lead trails rides and outride for cross-country schooling, leading many an unsure horse over jumps with them quite literally on top of her tail!”

Jane, Joey, Dragonfly, & Phoenix

“One mustang from WHOA was not nearly enough — and I don’t think 3 is enough either! We absolutely love Joey, Dragonfly and Phoenix. They settled in so easily and have been a joy to work with. Stefanie gets them set up so well, and now I get to have fun every day! Saddling them all was a breeze. My first ride on Phoenix was smooth. All three horses are great with our entire family, and love our visitors. They love each other, and our farm finally feels complete.”

Jane & Doc

“Hi Stefanie, hope you’ve been well! Quick Doc update, we have our first 6 rides in!

Doc has calmed so much and his confidence has just skyrocketed, it’s been so fun watching him tackle these big steps

Joe is starting to work with him now a little bit too so he gets comfortable with other people besides me and my boyfriend. We’re going to prioritize keeping his focus in check and teaching him to stick to a job and know that he is not allowed to goof off when he’s working. I really want to continue encouraging his curiosity while also setting boundaries (no we can’t drop and roll when we’re working, no we are not sucking and chewing railings/objects in the arena while working, etc.,). I feel he needs time to mature too so we’ll continue going slow and progress with his unique time table. Very proud of this boy, he’s such a joy!”
