One- or multi-day, bring your horse or work with ours, mustangs and domestics welcome.
Part of our mission is to empower horsemen and -women as well as current and prospective owners and adopters of Mustangs to make informed decisions as they navigate the (wild) horse adoption, purchase and training world and support them in developing rewarding and safe relationships with their horses.
This is a new workshop – type format that’s affordable, private and totally customizable to your needs. Limited to one participant who is welcome to bring an auditor or two for moral support and as accountability buddies as you apply what you’ve learned going forward.
What to expect:
Multiple lessons throughout the day, working on specifically what you want help with, from building a better relationship with your own horse to teaching a horse to ground drive or lie down, hobble or tie, or anything related to Mustang gentling.
You will be able to experience a normal (if there is such a thing) training day at Wild Horse Outreach & Advocacy and audit our training sessions, or rest, or go for a walk, or work with your own horse in between your lessons.
There will be ample time for you and your auditor (s) to ask questions. All of our clients are welcome to stay in touch after they leave here so you’re not alone if follow up questions arise or you would like to come back for more learning.
When: Contact us to schedule. This opportunity is available on many Wednesdays through Sundays during regular operating hours during the not brutally cold months (although we still work when it’s chilly and you’re certainly welcome to be cold with us).
Housing: We can house your horse. Off-site accommodations available, we’re happy to discuss available options. No dogs on site please.
Cost: $225/day for participants. $75/day for auditors. Your horse stays for free if you provide cleaning and feed for your animal.
Where: We’re located in Guffey, Colorado. Contact us via PM or email us at info@wildhorseoutreach.org to book your spot.
