Storefront Announcement – Calling Colorado and surrounding states TIP Trainers

It’s about time we finally let the proverbial cat out of the bag.

Earlier this year after a final meeting with Mustang Heritage Foundation and Bureau of Land Management – Colorado / BLM Wild Horse & Burro Program , Wild Horse Outreach & Advocacy signed the long-awaited agreement to become the Colorado Mustang Storefront. We’re beyond honored, humbled and grateful to so many people for making this possible.

Our goal is to regularly make unhandled BLM mustangs available to TIP trainers who are willing and able to drive to Guffey, CO for pick up, as well as have horses gentled through TIP (Trainer Incentive Program) available for approved/approvable adopters.

We also offer training for outside mustangs, continued training for adopters of “our” horses who want a bit more than just basic handling (halter & lead, load, stand to be brushed, pick up feet) and instruction for current and prospective mustang adopters. A little bit of guidance can go a long way towards a successful journey with your wild horse. We are looking to bring in a small load of horses after the middle of this month (July 2023). If you’re a TIP trainer and would like to pick up some horses from us, please reach out via PM or email info@wildhorseoutreach.org ONLY. Comments can easily get lost in the shuffle. We are open to the public/TIP trainers by appointment only.

Kiko and Atlas. Great horses who we’ve placed in wonderful homes.
